Adding your artwork

When you open the app, your Gallery will launch.  From here you can start adding your art.

Follow the on-screen prompt and/or locate the button in the lower right hand corner of the screen. You’ll be offered the option of “Take Picture” or “Upload Picture“.

Take Picture & Upload Picture buttons

Take Picture

Use this option to photograph your artwork with the app’s purpose-built camera function.

The app’s Take Picture function is specifically built to make obtaining a high quality, high impact digital replication of your artwork.  It does this by dynamically clipping around the edges of the artwork, before analyzing the composition of the artwork to offer 4 enhancement options. The Take Picture option will open a camera viewfinder within the app.  A grid-lined window will indicate where you should place the artwork within, and help you to line it up as squarely as possible.  For instructions on how to take the best photo of your artwork, please see this help page.

The Take Picture camera option also allows you to toggle the camera flash off and on (ideally keep it off), and gives you a link to a support page.

Once you’ve taken the photo, proceed through the next steps until your picture is added to your gallery.

For a detailed overview of the steps please see here.

Upload Picture

Use this option to add artwork that may have been photographed already, or was created digitally, or if you want to crop your picture manually.

The app’s Upload Picture function allows you to add existing jpeg / jpg or png images to your gallery.  Unlike Take Picture, the Upload Picture function won’t dynamically clip around (remove the background of) the artwork.  Note, you can manually crop your image prior to uploading or can use the manual crop function in Edit Picture the app once its added.

Like Take Picture, the Upload Picture function will also analyse the composition of your image and present you with 4 enhancement profiles to choose from.

Once uploaded, proceed through the next steps to see your picture added to your gallery.

You can now view and edit your picture as needed.
